Welcome to SVCS SOAR Program

SVCS is blessed to have a wonderful academic assistance program called SOAR – Students Overcoming learning challenges, Achieving academic success, and Reaching their potential for Christ. This program is designed for students – Kindergarten through High School – who desire to learn, yet are uniquely challenged by the traditional classroom setting.

Students in this program benefit from a combination of “mainstream” classroom instruction, and “pull-out” instruction conducted in a small group, multi-sensory setting.

SOAR incorporates a variety of research-based instructional methodologies taught by a highly-trained and devoted staff. The program’s director, Mrs. Cheri Gilbert, has 30 years’ experience in the classroom, holds a B.S. in Human Development (emphasis in Educational Psychology), and has additional years’ training from Slingerland, Lindamood Bell, and Mel Levine Schools Attuned.

Because SOAR is a supplemental program at SVCS, there are additional fees and tuitions associated with it. Please see the Admissions and Fees section for more information.
