Senior Project
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 2:35 pm
The Senior Project allows students to put into use many of the skills they have learned over the course of their education. This multi-faceted project includes four parts:
Paper – Seniors select a topic and write a research paper
Project – Students apply the knowledge gained in research to produce a related project
Portfolio – Students keep a journal of activities to accomplish the project, a log of time, and a collection of pieces gathered as they progress through the project
Presentation – The Senior Boards consist of a formal speech presented to a board of judges about the project.
The Senior Project helps demonstrate that graduating students have internalized SVCS’ Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ELRS) – to be effective communicators, complex thinkers and productive individuals. Successful completion of the project is a requirement for graduation from SVCS.
