Welcome to SVCS Jr. High School
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 2:35 pm
The Junior High emphasizes the critical thinking and independent learning skills necessary to transition from Elementary School to High School. Students are offered opportunities to channel and explore their God-given gifts by a group of dedicated professionals -- teachers who are not only highly qualified and experienced, but who also have a deep love and understanding of this particular age group.
SVCS Junior High seeks to prepare students for the academic rigors of a college preparatory high school. We offer UC-approved classes with High School credit. Pre-AP and Honors level courses are also available for students preparing for AP classes and admission to top universities.
All Junior High students receive instruction in college and career preparation, including a College Education class in 7th Grade and a Career Project in 8th Grade.
Programs are offered for both the experienced and the novice in visual and performing arts and in athletics. Students are challenged spiritually in daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, and courses taught by Christian teachers with Biblical integration.
Students also benefit from several educational enrichment opportunities, including a variety of field trips which culminates with a one-week trip to Washington, D.C. and New York in their 8th Grade year.
SVCS Junior High serves Grades 7 and 8 and is lead by Principal Mike Henjum and Vice Principal Rod Markum.
