High School Athletics

The High School athletics program is governed by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). CIF mandates the specific rules and regulations for all High School athletics in the state of California. There are specific rules for student eligibility, rules of the game, fees and season of sport.

Under the umbrella of CIF, Saddleback Valley Christian Schools is in the Western Athletic Conference. There are two leagues in the WAC -- the San Joaquin League and the Express League. There are about 14 schools that compete against each other within these two leagues.

At the end of each sport, a school may participate in the CIF playoffs if they have finished in the top half of their league. CIF develops the playoff brackets and determines who and where your playoff game will be.
