Welcome to SVCS High School
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 2:35 pm
The ultimate goal of the Senior High is to prepare our students for success in college and beyond. SVCS graduates have been accepted to a long list of top colleges and universities -- both public and private; both local and national (click on the "Alumni College Acceptance" list in the right column). Students are challenged on a daily basis, academically and spiritually, by a faculty committed to helping them reach their God-given potential.
SVCS offers a challenging curriculum with courses approved by the University of California system. There is an outstanding AP Program for those who desire an accelerated course of study where they can possibly earn college credit. Honors and college prep classes are also available. The High School places heavy emphasis on providing tools which enable students of every aptitude to plan and prepare for college and career.
Students are equipped to approach issues from a Biblical perspective through Bible classes, weekly chapel, and interaction with Christian teachers, administrators, and coaches. They are allowed to explore their own unique interests and gifting through a variety of enrichment programs and a Senior Project of their choice.
Graduation requirements are based on UC-admission requirements. In addition, all Seniors must produce a four-faceted Senior Project to demonstrate their understanding of SVCS’ Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs) by incorporating them into their individual lives. (Click here for more information about ESLRs)
SVCS High School serves Grades 9-12 and is lead by Principal Mike Henjum and Vice Principal Rod Markum.
