Elementary School Spiritual

SVCS Elementary students are taught Biblical truths through daily Bible lessons and weekly chapels. Students are encouraged to make life applications from the various topics during the lessons. Bible verse memorization is also an integral part of the curriculum. Students are recognized for their desire to become “imitators of Christ” (Ephesians 5:1) through monthly Bible Character Trait Awards, quarterly Armor Bearer Awards, and the yearly Warrior Award. Our teachers and support staff have a desire to see students grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and, therefore, take opportunities to pray with students and guide them in the process of becoming more Christ-like.

The Elementary School participates in a variety of outreaches throughout the year. Students support eight children through Compassion International and World Vision with their weekly chapel offerings. Local outreaches include ministering to residents of a nearby Alzheimer’s patient center, providing “Easter laundry baskets” to the Orange County Rescue Mission, and supporting our city’s sheriff and fire departments. SVCS Elementary School has participated in Operation Christmas Child for the past seven years as part of our international outreach.

Chapels are an integral part of the students’ lives at SVCS. Each week, they unite together in worship, prayer and the sharing of God’s Word. Guest speakers bring the Word of God through teaching, drama and music.

We believe that life is a journey of experiences that are preparing us for a life of eternity…

Our Mission (Luke 10:27):
1.) To love the Lord your God with all your Heart [relationships], Soul [worship], Mind [discipleship], & Strength [service and missions]

2.) To love your neighbor as yourself [repair & release]
