Elementary School Academics

Junior Kindergarten:

8:30 am – 12:30 am (M-Th); 8:30 am – 12:15 pm (F)

Kindergarten – 6th Grade:

8:30 am – 3:00 pm (M-Th);

8:30 am – 12:15 pm (F)


Before-school and after-school care is offered for Elementary students at an additional cost.

Our educational philosophy is based on the core values of academic excellence, stewardship, Christ-likeness and family. To provide an all-encompassing, solid foundation of core subjects, SVCS Elementary School uses a variety of textbooks. The California State Standards are used as a guideline to determine the curriculum for each grade level, and Biblical principles are integrated into the core subjects. Textbooks from the following publishers are used:

SVCS is a member of the Associated Christian Schools International (ACSI), and participates in several of their student activities, including Spelling Bee, Speech Meet, Math Olympics and Choir Festivals.
